HEAD VARSITY HOCKEY COACH
|
Zach Ball is entering his 3rd year as Head Coach of the Mount Allison Women's Hockey Mounties. Ball succeeds long time Head Coach and Athletic Director Jack Drover. Prior to becoming Head Coach, Ball was an assistant coach with the team and in 2008-2009, he served as co-coach with Drover.
Zach won the 2011 Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Coach of the Year. This past summer he was selected to the coaching staff of two elite level Maritime teams. Ball was named head coach of the New Brunswick Under-15 women's team, and was also assistant coach with the Team Atlantic Under-18 squad.
Zach hails from Belleville, Ontario and has played hockey at the Prep School and tier 2 junior level. He has also worked at a number of hockey schools in the Maritimes and currently resides in Sackville, NB.

ASSISTANT COACH
|
Chris Major grew up in Beaconsfield, PQ, and played both field hockey and soccer at competitive levels. She was a member of Quebec's summer games field hockey team. Chris attended St. Georges Prep School in Newport, Rhode Island from 1998-2000 and played both sports competitively while there.
Chris graduated from Mount Allison in 2004 and during her time at Mount A was a key player and the leading scorer with the Hockey Mounties. Chris currently is employed with Student Services at Mount A.

ASSISTANT COACH

Kevin Kelso grew up in Ottawa, played hockey for the Gloucester Rangers and the Nepean Raidersin the Central Junior Hockey League and the Ottawa 67 organization.
Kelso coached both at the minor and the AAA level in Ontario and recently retired to Sackville.
