HEAD COACH

Al Hart is currently in his 14th year as Head Coach of Mount Allison's Women's Basketball team, and has successfully led his team to post-season play every year. The "Mountie" squad, which competes in the ACAA league (Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association), has taken the Conference Championship four times during this time.
In the 1996-97, 1998-99, 2000-01 and 2005-06 seasons they travelled to the CCAA (Canadian Colleges Athletic Association) national championships in Vancouver BC, Medicine Hat Alberta, Calgary Alberta and Lethbridge, Alberta.
Hart comes to Mount Allison with a wealth of coaching experience. He was a very successful high school coach whose teams won nine Provincial Girls Basketball championships. He also spent a year coaching the Nova Scotia Teachers College women's team before being named Head Coach of the Mount Allison Mounties in 1996.
