MOUNT ALLISON FOOTBALL FIFTH QUARTER CLUB
The Mount Allison Fifth Quarter Club is a large contingent of alumni
and friends who are committed to supporting the Mountie Football program.
Fund raising is a main concern of the organization and funds are raised
through membership fees, corporate support, program sales, 50-50 draws,
and other similar projects.
The Club, with the assistance of a number of local businesses, hosts
a post home-game reception to which fans, players and coaches are invited.
It also assists coaches with recruiting and performs other functions
on behalf of the team. Over the years the money has been used for a
variety of purposes. It has also been used to help create a professional
quality dressing room for the team, provide some funding for assistant
coaches, help with spring camps, and to provide needed equipment and
supplies.
The current thrust is concentrated on recruiting and assistant coaching,
two critical areas if the Mounties are to remain a strong force in the
Atlantic Universities Football Conference. Those interested in becoming
a member of the Fifth Quarter Club may make arrangements at the post
game receptions or by contacting the Head Coach, Kelly Jeffrey, 506-364-2407
